Congrats to Alessia, she"s easily one of the most talented artists in the world today and definitely deserves all the good things happening to her.

The first half looks like it could be renamed “Boomer: the Movie”. Cant wait for this. Download Movie The willoughby. Ngl I"m hyped for the scooby doo one. I used to watch lots of horror movies... But that was the scariest scary animation ever. I love the song I sing it all day. My reaction: “awwww this is actually a really cute family mo- OKAY THERES A ROBOT INVASION NOW I GUESS”. When I first read the concept for The Willoughbys, I thought it sounded a lot like The Addams Family. The film did come across like that for the first few minutes, but there are actually quite a few differences.
In all honesty, I thought the film would be extremely bad or mediocre at best, but it"s not. It"s slightly above average, and I can see why children would be completely enamoured with the film.
The main problem with The Willoughbys is the overall narrative. It wasn"t bad by any means, but it never engaged me to the level that I would have liked. That"s not to say that I was bored throughout, but the story wasn"t as strong as I would have liked. There were also some major pacing issues, which is strange for a film that clocks in at around ninety minutes.
Thankfully, I was a big fan of the animation-style and the voice acting. The colour pallet was very appealing, and that was enough to keep my attention. There were also a lot of jokes which worked for me, and there are certainly worse scripts out there for animated films.
Overall, The Willoughbys is a fine film that I think children will like and the parents won"t tear their eyes out at, but it didn"t do anything particularly great and I doubt I"ll remember it for longer than a few weeks.
